Muse: Voice and an Avatar
Meta’s AI assistant app, Muse, has now been updated to include voice interaction capabilities. Users can now speak to Muse directly, and the app will respond in kind. This update also introduces an expressive avatar that reacts in real time as users converse with the app. The avatar uses subtle expressions and gestures that reflect the user’s mood, making interactions more engaging and natural. The update is rolling out on mobile, web, and Mac platforms, starting with the United States (US).
To activate voice mode, users simply tap the phone icon in the top right corner of the app. Meta notes that voice chats will also be available soon on AI Glasses and the Muse Charm.
Users can start talking about any idea with Muse, from planning a trip to rehearsing a job interview. They can also ask the app for help while multitasking, like while cooking dinner. With over 40 different voices to choose from, users can switch personalities at will. Meta assures that replies are instant, and users can interrupt the app as they would a real person.

Claude: Personal Finance
Anthropic’s Claude has introduced a new Personal Finance feature, allowing users to connect their bank and card accounts and ask questions about their financial transactions. This functionality is currently rolling out in beta on the Pro, Max, and Ultra plans in the US.
Users can ask Claude straightforward questions about their finances, such as “Where did my money go this month?” or “What is left before payday?” The AI model will analyze spending patterns, spot recurring charges, and provide detailed insights. Claude can also explain financial terms and generate spending charts or dashboards.
Anthropic emphasizes that Claude has read only access to users’ financial data. The model cannot move, manage, or invest users’ money, and it is not designed to provide investment advice. Users can connect their accounts via Plaid, ensuring their passwords remain secure. Anthropic acknowledges that the model may make mistakes, so users should always verify important figures with their bank.

Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash
Google has introduced an updated version of its Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash, an AI video generation model. This new iteration allows users to create 15 second videos, up from the previous 10 second limit. Users can choose any length between 3 and 15 seconds.
The new model comes at a reduced cost, with a 30% price drop compared to the previous version. It now costs $0.07 per second for a 720p video. Users can draft low quality videos first and then upscale them to 1080p or 4K. The updated model is more adept at following references, producing more consistent videos with less warping and drifting.
Google notes that the new model can handle complex, continuous camera movements more smoothly. It can perform flowing drone style shots, zoom outs, and orbits with fewer sudden cuts, creating a polished, cinematic look. Users can easily swap backgrounds, change lighting, or switch aspect ratios via text prompts.
Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash is rolling out today to all Google AI subscribers. Additionally, Google AI Ultra subscribers can now create and edit videos up to 15 seconds long, providing more flexibility for storytelling and content creation.
The updated Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash is said to handle references more effectively, maintaining consistent details throughout the video. It can combine elements like character details, product styles, facial expressions, clothing, packaging text, and brand colors seamlessly.
With these new features, users can expect a more interactive and user friendly experience from these leading AI models.
